9th Finish for this year, 1st for June

My first UFO finish for June is a Janelle Wind Frilly Dilly bag without the frills.  I love the shape of the bag but didn't another frilly bag, so I decided to raw edge applique a flower on the front.  This has been waiting to be finished for over 2 years.  So pleased to have the Friday night sewing with friends group to encourage me to get some sewing done.

Workers Play Vest

I made these vest for my grandsons. This past weekend was their first birthday party and the theme was Construction Zone.

Had their name on the back to show who was who.
If you would like to see more of what they as decorations and game I posted it here.

Whoo has some finishes??

Whoo??

Why me of course.

These little fellows have been hanging out in my house since last year (or maybe even the year before that).

They were appliqued on but not sewn.

Well not any more.  Last night these 2 were sewn into pot holders

and now they can watch the goings on in the kitchen
and let me know if something is burning.
and these 3 were finished off this morning.

That big orange one looks like an 'angry bird' rather than an owl.

So that is 5 more finishes for April and 5 bits of 'stuff' out of the mess.  I think the orange ones will be going into my stall stock and I will decide about the red ones after the local show.

Another 2 finishes

Another 2 UFO's have hit the finished list.
Number 8:

This table runner came about by default.  In our December 2012 sewing club the Christmas project required lots of cutting of shapes to be made into coasters and placemats.  I had been to my Grandson's Prep Graduation, so was late getting there, and seemed to be cutting lots but getting nowhere.  I came home with a pile of half cut out coasters, but not so sure about how to make them up.  As I had pieces cut out I then had to work out what to do with them.  My table runner was "born".

Number 9:

3 years ago when Grandchild no 6 was expected, I bought this sheep panel to make a cot quilt.  It was a girly one, but as time went on we found it was to be a boy.  The quilt had been started and was then put into the UFO drawer.  When Vicki was born last year I had forgotten about this panel until I sorted out my UFOs for my 2013 list.  I had already made her a cot quilt so decided to make this one into a floor rug.

Those sheep really are so cute.
