In 2010 I purchased Leanne Beasley's Sweet Christmas Dreams to have ready for Christmas 2010, of course. But obviously other UFO's bumped it down the line and now it is done and dusted ready for Christmas 2013. I am very happy with it. I used Cottage Garden Thread colour Hugs and Kisses and used stem stitch to fill in the ribbons and back stitch for the lettering.
Around the same time as Sweet Christmas Dreams I fell in love with another of Leanne's patterns for a sewing pouch. After finishing it in my own colours, using Cosmos threads, I made a matching needle book as well. A girl can never have enough pouches with little portable projects inside ready for that delay somewhere or a train trip or whatever. I am sure you all know where I am coming from. This had been embroidered (the pouch that is) but not put together. I seem to have no problem getting the embroidery done but then I come to a full stop about assembling the item. Ahhh, it feels good to have another item completed.
