Homespun Hill Thank You

I got so many lovely comments about my quilt Homespun Hill I wanted to thank each person.
I started clicking on names sending a little thank you to each one and then discovered I was sending the wrong thank you to the wrong person.  I am getting older and easily confused.
So I decided to just post one Thank You here to everyone who commented on my post.  I wish there was someway to get the comments sent to your email so it would be easier to respond.  Maybe there is and I just don't know how.
How do you all go about thanking the people who make comments?

Homespun Hill

Another finish this month.  This quilt is from the patten Homespun Hill by the Rabbit Factory.
Back in 2006 I belonged  to a group lead by Pat Wys of the Silver Thimble.  We made a different quilt every month.
The applique is fused and machine stitched and it is quilted using a stars and loop Pantograph.
Glad to have this on off the to do list.

My first 2013 Finishes

When I went to post to this blog this week I found it had been so long my name had been removed from the list.  Thankfully Dawn and Wendy let me back in. I will try to post a little more often.  Not that I haven't been sewing I just haven't been finishing much.  I think it's because I don't enjoy the actual quilting part.

Last week I finished applying the binding to two of my UFO quilts.  Both of these quilts were made in 2005 as a BOM at Little Quilts in Atlanta - or as Little Quilts calls it their Second Saturday Sampler.

Both quilts were quilted with the baptist fan using the Quilt EZ boards.
I decided to apply the binding by machine.  The quilts were machine pieced and machine quilted so why not machine binding?

Finishes 12 and 13

I haven't been doing much quilting or blogging this month because we have been getting ready for a new  Grand baby.  Evelyn was born on the 28th and is wonderful.

I did manage to finish two more little quilts.  The pink and blue one is from Quilts by Cheri and is called

February Sixth Finish

This one is called Raising Cane and is another mystery from 2009.  It is from A Pocket Full of Mysteries yahoo group and was designed by Dorothy Young.  I am so excited to have some of these tops out of the closet and turned into quilts.

Finishes Two and Three

 I finished a couple of more UFO'S this week.  This first one if from Australian Patchwork & Quilting Magazine 2004.  It only needed some quilting and binding  and I don't know why I put it off for so long.

This little alphabet quilt was started when I was at the AccuQuilt retreat in June 2011.  I used their dies to cut out the alphabet since I don't have those. Last week I got it quilted and bound.  Now  that it's washed I think the squares could have used a little quilting.

2012 First Finish

 My first finish for 2012.  This quilt is a BOM  from Stitch 'N Quilt a local shop that has been closed for several years.

The blocks were made in 2005 and forgotten about, but since joining Sew It's Finished I have been going through my UFO's to see what I have and I discovered this one.  It was called Sunday Sampler because you picked up your block on Sunday afternoon.  The first block was $5 but if you brought your block in completed the next month your block was free.

Last week I added the corners to the blocks, the black sashing, borders and quilted it.
