Christmas wall hanging

Another finish for October is my Nancy Halvorsen Christmas hanging.  This is such a beautiful panel, which I have had for some years.  I had put the borders on so it just needed quilting.  I have hand quilted the panel, and in the border I have machine quilted the words of  "While Shepherds watched their flocks by night".

it's lovely.. how clever of you to do the words... now I want to know how you mark your quilts on dark fabric (if you do - and if you do that writing freehand it may make me vomit in jealousy!!!) and if you used a specially thicker thread to sew the words - they are nice and clear..
