One More Off The List!!!!

I finished my Log Cabin yesterday and bound it last night...So glad to have it finished..can let my fingers heal for a few days now...and then on to the next one....I love the Log Cabin. This one is Barn Raising...hope you like it....and it is the first time for me doing a pieced back.  I am old school; I guess....always a plain back.I like the way the stitches show up on the plain back..But ladies on here have inspired me to try the pieced one and I do like it....so; there you go...lol..I pieced the back this way; so it could be turned down and see the strip...

Wow! what a marvellous quilt! A great design that one - always seems to work when you use a good contrast in fabrics.

I've always loved log cabins and I love the color choices for this one. Keep up the pieced backs they make a quilt just a bit more special.

I really like the browns, light and dark. congrats on your finish! congrats on the success of trying something different...piecing the back. I like pieced backs. It's like the sprinkles on a cupcake.

Log cabin is my favourite block and barnraising is my fav way of using it. Your colours work so well, congrats on getting it finished, it is spectacular..

I think I NEED to be a part of this blog. Could youplease email me the details, I have a basket of cut out but not started projects as well as 6 quilt tops and many other UFO's that need to be UFI's (useable finished items).

Amazing Log cabin quilt! I had done only one block that was a log cabin on one of my UFOs that are made up of a variety of different "star blocks" (I know that the log cabin is not a star block at all..but cuz I fell in love with how the logcabin quilts that I have seen before, I had to add that one to the mix :o)

I love the colors too that you picked!
Is this one for you or for a gift? Did you do the quilting by hand?

Blessings & Aloha!
