My first 2 finishes!

Hi everyone!  just thought I would introduce myself and post my first 2 finishes for this new year.  I am Lorene and you can check me out at here    .  I haven't been a very good blogger this past year, so one of my new resolutions is to be a better blogger and post more and finish those darn UFOs!  well that is two, but I am sure you understand.

OK, first UFO, this is #12 of 12 quilt wall hangings. 20 x 28.   I have probably 5 or 6 quilted.  I have the other tops done and ready to quilt.  soooooo...... you will be seeing more.

Next is a little embroidery wall hanging.  13 x 15.  this is from a Australian magazine probably 5 or 6 years ago.  I meet with a friend every summer.  she lives in Vegas, I live in AZ.  we prepare all year of prepping kits and blocks for ourselves and each other.  then that week we sew, sew, sew.  we get quite a bit done, but there are always stragglers that seem to carry over from year to year.  This was one of them.  All I needed to do was quilt it and do the binding.  I mean It's small, why did I wait sooo long!  no worries now, it's done and will be hung in my sewing room later today.  yeah!

My plans for today while hubby is at the office, is to finish a block on my Halloween BOM - #4 block of six.  I am staying caught up with this one.  work on another small wall hanging for a class I teach (yes I started it last month, so I can count it as a UFO!) and do 15 minutes of straightening my sewing room.  that should keep me busy I think.

I look forward to getting to know you all.  Getting a lot accomplished.  you ladies are going to be my incentive!

thanks, now go get sewing!!!
