My UFO list and first finish

Now, if I say this verrrrrry quietly and quickly it might not seem so bad. I finalised my UFO list, which is here on my blog and there are 50. You really cant see that number can you? No, I thought not.
(Phew!!!!)

I am not even going to pretend that I can get all those finished in 1 year. Not a chance. But for the other years I had made a list of about 12 items, mainly the bigger ones, which I thought should be my priority. No. It didnt work. I finished quite a few UFOs, but not too many from that list. So I figured that this year I would list all I could find or remember about, and then when I cross them off the list I will be able to see that the list is shrinking. Well, that's my theory and I will see if it works.

The good thing is that I have finished ONE item off the list.  I did the embroidery on this when I went for my first embroidery software lesson after buying my embroidery machine. It would have been in 2003 - yes, 10 years ago. That is how long it has been hanging around in my cupboard. It has even moved house with me twice in that time. All I had to do was trim it, sew around it, stuff it and stitch up the opening. How long would that take? Hmmm. 10 minutes. Yes, about that. Maybe 12 minutes if I was in a slow mood.

Anyway, here it is, a small finish, but still a finish
.

That's a great start Marilyn. We all have lots of UFO's. I'm sure I would have that many as well. Hugs....

Yeah Marilyn.

A finish is a finish no matter its size. I agree with you, at least you can cross it off the list.

Well done.

Absolutely agree - a finish is a finish and one less thing hanging around. Lovely pin cushion.

A finish is what matters Marilyn, and it's super cute too! My ufo's are small/medium items too...

Oh, I love that pincushion!
And I tried very hard to see that number of UFO's - much easier on the other page...;o)
You are brave to list them all! Success in finishing!

congratulations on a very pretty finish! I made a list of all my UFO's (I prefer to call them -PIPs or projects in progress). But, it was sooo overwhelming that I just went and stuck my head in the sand...or as a true fabriholic...hurried to my nearest fabric store.

Now, I just look thru the projects in progress, pic the one closest to being finished and get 'er done. This theory works "most" of the time for me. (note, I did say "most" of the time =P).

You go girl....no shame in listing ALL your ufo's.....after all....it's a bit like dieting...if you don't admit it's there, you won't see the need!!!!LOL I have to admit, I have two drawers full, two suitcases full and a pile on my shelf.....plus odd little ones here and there!!!! Time to do something about them!!!
I reckon that pincushion deserved to be set free......looks just beautiful....and now you can use it!!!!
xox sew many hugs
