My First Finish of 2013

Well after only finishing only three UFO's last year, I endeavour to finish more than that this year and have already made a start.  I still have to add onto my list on my blog my new UFO's I accumulated over the last year too, but I have lessened the overall UFO's by one.

Here is my UFO box, with those items I need to finish.

Now as I said earlier I have finished my first UFO for the year....yay.

I had a small table runner I had started in 2011 from some 5" charms. All I had to do was sandwich, quilt and bind, so this is what I spent yesterday evening doing.

Now this is what I pulled out of the box.

And all finished, to be put away for Christmas at the end of the year.

Woo hoo... another year started, more UFO's than ever to finish.

Finale for 2012

Hi ladies,

well...congratulations on getting to the new year with some of you having at least one finish for December! Your efforts took us to 392 finishes for the year...not quite our 500 as we'd hoped for but.....it was only our second year and we were reaching for the moon......

You know what they say.....Always reach for the moon, cause even if you miss, you land among the stars!! and you're all stars to us!

If you never achieved your goal of finishing all your UFO’s….never mind!!!!   There’s always this year so leave us a comment  if you want to keep with us….you’ll notice we’ve wiped most everybody off this list…..so we could start afresh…….and that would mean you  would not have  managed to get all the blocks for the block of the month….but don’t stress....we have a surprise which we'll reveal to you soon....so just be patient.......they will be available for you in 2013…just in a different way (and it won’t cost you a cent!).

A Late Finish

I had finished this last month but was so busy that I did not get it posted like I should of, so maybe this can be my first for this year. Works for me, what do you think Wendy and Dawn

New Year ....New Start

How amazing how many UFO finishes that you have accomplished 

this last year and were not finished counting just yet.

  As of Next year which is in less than 24 hours away,

 Wendy and I thought we would do something a little different, 

 just to shake things up a little...he he.

 It may effect you but only for a little time.

Every week we get emails asking us if they can join us in our UFO quest.

We thought as some have not posted at all or have not blogged 

in a while due to many reasons and not pointing fingers at anyone.

Therefore we would wipe the slate clean and start a fresh.

 

 What do you need to do?...

 If you are still wanting to join us and have found

 you cannot post, send us an email

 and well add you back on...

 We just figured it would be quicker this way

 rather than ask everyone to let us know if they still want on.

We have loads of new fun things planned for this next year

 so stay tuned if your still wanting to finish your UFO's..

 they encourage others immnesly so keep up the good work...

Your inspiring each and every one of us

 and who knows what the record number of finishes will be for next year.

 The Stitchery BOM we gave as an incentive to those

 who posted monthly finishes

 will be available next year in a different way if you

 missed a month or two....more news on that later.

 So what you need to do is decide whether to continue with us

three projects achieved !

I'm here to put my hand up to being one of the failures in your group - I think my issue was that I was involved in way too many swaps to get my ufos done.

I also constantly forget just how time consuming quilting is - for instance I made my niece a table runner for christmas and it took about 4 hours to bind !

I only posted to the blog twice - in January to introduce myself and on 1 May to finally post my mini ufo list !

I did however manage to get three of the projects on that list done - yay - three is better than none !!

thanks so much Dawn and Wendy and good luck to everyone for 2013 - I hope you get some of your ufos off the list - I'm crossing my fingers that I do as well :)
