The embroideries for the blocks were done when I was learning to use the embroidery software for my machine. I used fabrics that I had hand dyed. The border is not the bright pink as shown in the bottom photo - it is much more subtle than that. Not sure what happens to make the colours go so off.
The second finish is Daisy Street

They are both beautiful finishes.
Yes, both lovely. It is strasnge about colours and photos - mayeb we all need a photo studio as well as a sewing room??. Love the Daisy Street. Something really unusual.
Both are great. Isn't it great to finish a project - especially one that has been in the works for so long
Your first quilt looks great and the black stitchery...just awesome!
Both are beautiful but I have to say that Daisy Street is fab. I love it :)
Beautiful finishes, the stitcing on the black background looks lovely.
Congrats on your finishes! It is wonderful to see the machine and hand embroidery.
lovely finishes.
The stitching on the black looks like drawings on a black board. so pretty.
Your quilts are lovely!!! I like the cute houses on Daisy Street!
Oh they are gorgeous! So did you do that embroidery on your machine? I had just started learning to embroider when my thumb started acting up. I probably need to buy me a good embroidery machine. Love your work!!!
I love the black background on your embroidery! How do you trace the design onto dark fabric? An inquiring mind would like to know. LOL!
Both look so lovely, well done!
