But my daughter is getting married on Saturday, and I thought it would be a nice wedding gift, so I actually did the binding today and now it is all finished......must say I cheated a little as I machine stitched the binding......but it is finished and all wrapped......and it feels sooooo good.
The photo doesn't show it all, as I had to put it on the bed because it is too wet to take it outside.

Very nice! I dreaded bindings in the beginning, but when I finally sat down to do a few, I found that I loved it! A great project to work on while watching tv, and the most wonderful feeling of satisfaction when you take that last stitch!
An excellent reason to finally get it done - congratulations.
It looks wonderful and she will love it. My first ever quilt is still in the closet.
beautiful job! congrats on the wedding! I LOVE to do bindings! wish you were closer and I would help you. you say it's very wet where you live. well, it's not here so I know you don't live close! LOL.... good luck on finishing more!
isn't it funny how we leave the easy things till last! I bet it will be well loved! Have a great time at the wedding! xox hugs

A beautiful quilt, beautifully quilted, so it deserved its finish. Have a good week and enjoy the wedding.
what a great reason to finish a UFO. Well done, it's lovely.
Congrats! It is a very lovely quilt. :)
What a wonderful ending to the long story of this quilt! It looks fabulous & I'm sure will be well-loved... well done Lyndell !
Beautiful quilt! Congrats on the wedding. Binding is my least favorite part of quilting. If it is a quilt that I expect to get washed alot I usually machine stitch it down too. It's a heck of a lot faster that way too.
It's blue, therefore I LOVE IT!
