Years ago when I first started blogging I participated in a signature block exchange. It was a simple block that required cutting off the two corners once you diagonally sewed a patch to them. As a way of "saving"
every little scrap, I ended up with a whole bag of HSTs.....small HSTs. I've always meant to do something with those little gems. With the
ALQS8 exchange coming up soon I found a great purpose for them.
I really enjoyed using these modern fabrics in this design and the colors are so refreshing. Sadly, it barely made a dent in my five year old bag of HSTs. Guess I will have to come up with some more ideas for them.
Is anyone else participating in the ALQS8? There is still time to join if you are interested. I LOVE the way the swap is run.

What a lovely little quilt. With so many HSTs left over, you need to make it a "big sister" quilt.

Beautiful and isn't it a good feeling to make something from our leftovers, even though we still have heaps left. Can I ask a dumb question and ask what is ALQS8?
The little mini quilt turned out very well.
Have a wonderful Christmas!
:)
