Just scraped in with my 10th finish

Table runner made from a left over row form the Row X Row round robin swap I was part of in 2006. This row was made by Ronnie. I quilted it last month and put the last stitch in the binding at 10pm last night....

Whoo has some finishes??

Why me of course.

These little fellows have been hanging out in my house since last year (or maybe even the year before that).

They were appliqued on but not sewn.

Well not any more.  Last night these 2 were sewn into pot holders

 

and now they can watch the goings on in the kitchen

 and let me know if something is burning.

 and these 3 were finished off this morning.

That big orange one looks like an 'angry bird' rather than an owl.

So that is 5 more finishes for April and 5 bits of 'stuff' out of the mess.  I think the orange ones will be going into my stall stock and I will decide about the red ones after the local show.

Shoo, Flies

Another one out of the UFO drawer and ready for use -
 A few years ago we were making a mesh food cover at our sewing club.  We used the Double Mitre Ruler by the Sewing Revolution to make the frame, then a mesh fabric sewn into the frame.  The corners were to be weighted, but as I have not found the pattern, I am not sure how that was done.  I decided not to try weighting them at this stage, and can do so if needed at a later time.
I did the frame in the class, so just had to sew the mesh in at home.  

This will be very useful at picnics.  Every time we are eating outdoors I think I must finish this off so we can use it to cover the food from the flies that like to invite themselves along.  Now I just need to remember to pack it.
