Finish # 8 Rick Rack Nines

I am so happy to have this very large quilt finished.  It's called Rick Rack Nines and is from Bonnie Hunter's book Leaders and Enders.
Bonnie says it is a Big quilt and she was right but it was quite easy to make using the leader ender method.
The quilt used 2,670 - 2" squares to make the nine patch blocks.

Finally, here's my April finish.

I started this quilt in 2008.  It was a block of the month  starting in the middle and working your way out receiving fat eights each month.  The center is hand pieced and after taking a class I switched to machine piecing.  The beautiful quilting is done by Dan.  I don't think the pictures show all the intricate detail. 

I also finished these two ornaments which were started in 2010.  I had the stitching done but didn't finish putting the ornaments together.  There's still more ornaments to finish.....maybe next month.

My finishes for February & March

Here is a couple of finishes...Very old finishes.

I actually finished this one the end of February.

It's a white canvas apron I bought about 8 years ago and some fabric I bought to "fancy" it up about 5 years ago. My kitchen is apples so this will look great hanging in my kitchen.

A small Christmas tree skirt.

I bought this "kit" a long, long time ago and found it while going through my fabric. All the pieces were cut out and all it needed was to be cut out, stuffed pieces. There is a tree too but I haven't gotten it stuffed yet. The only thing I completed (with machine embroidery stitches) was the skirt. I think it turned out cute. I'm going to finish the tree soon and will show you.

Still plugging away but also dealing with health issues.
