February Finishes-Part 2

Hello there again.  I am sharing the finishes I have for the latter part of this month.  The first is another quilt that has been in the works for a couple of years.  I thought I would turn it into something special for my daughter, but she has decided she wants a different quilt that I just started, so this one is going in the trunk for later.

I also made a coordinating pillow for a blog hop that measures 10" X 10" and was made with paper-piecing.

February Finishes- Part 1

I have gotten behind sharing my finishes with this group.  The first one for February is one of those projects that I have been working on for a couple of years.  Its a lap Quilt called Time Warp that measures 50" X 55" and made with 30's reproduction fabrics.

The next two are table mats made for two different members of a birthday club I am a apart of this year.  They each measure 11.75" X 11.75" and are intended to reflect each of the persons.

I have a few more projects that I hope to complete by the end of the month.

FINALLY!!

It'S Done!!!  My oldest WIP is now completed after a little over 3 years!  It's a Wonky Christmas Advent Calendar, which has had its top stitches ripped out 3 times, so this is quite a feat indeed for a project I thought would only take me a week.  Many times I had tried to come back to this project, but time and time again I would go away frustrated and throw it back on the shelf.  This lovely prize was completed the very last few days of November, but I haven't been able to reveal until today as I was waiting for my husband's sister and family to get their gift for Christmas early this year.

I also completed a popover dress to send to my friend's daughter along with a quilt for a coming female child. This one was also completed in technically November but had to remain a  surprise until the package arrived!

Well our whole world is covered in ice, so it's a good day to go snuggle under a quilt today!!

A Wee Pillow

I almost forgot to post another finish from this past Friday night when I participated in the Friday Night Sew-In!

Front

Back

It's left over blocks from another quilt I am working on for my daughter's bed, so I decided to make a little pillow cover from them.  They both have been sitting around since the beginning of the year (the pillow and the quilt).  My hope is to get the quilt completed for my Daughter for Christmas, but I already let her have the pillow as she found it in my "hiding" spot!

Thanks for taking the time to look at my finish.

Finally a UFO Finish...

My fresh Flowers Quilt is finally complete.  I simply love the orange with white polka dot fabric I found in my own stash for the binding!  This quilt has long been in the UFO/WIP pile.  The fabric is actually half a jelly roll, a few spare charm squares and some red yardage that was left over from making this quilt HERE 3.25 years ago!  I added the Yellow fabric I picked up at a JoAnn Fabrics Black Friday sale about 3 years ago for the back, the green is from my LQS, but I don't know the line or any info on the fabric since I used it all up.  I have been working on this quilt for over a year now.  I have spent half of this year ripping out some very bad Free-motion quilting I tried but it was not successful.  I sewed pebbles on the red fabrics and a squiggle on the colorful bars.

Sneaking in Another Project

I found myself volunteering to pattern-test a purse pattern when I saw a facebook post, so I snuck this project in amongst my WIP's I have been working on.

I really love the padded and layered outer-shell of the purse and the fact that it has a top zipper for me is a plus as it delays little hands from getting within it's confines.

I am rather proud of my inner-zippered pocket to be honest.  It has been a while since I have done zippers so this was a thoroughly enjoyable break from a few UFO projects.  My daughter has already kidnapped the purse several times, so I shall have to make myself another one!  If you are interested in finding more about this pattern, you can go to Clover & Violets Shop posting HERE.

Forgotten Finishes

I have dropped off the map for quite a few months for health reasons, but I am eagerly working on finishes.  I have some that are quite a few months behind on posting, but I finally have pictures of the items as I was transferring stuff from a dying computer to a working one .

Both of these items are new articles of clothing that I made in May.  The blue dress was a dress I pattern-tested for a designer so I wasn't able to share the finish then.  Miss Z has grown quite a bit so the dress no longer fits her (too short!).  The night gown is one of her favorites because she can twirl in it.  She grabbed Hershey's Kisses off the table as I was trying to take the picture of her in it.   I am working on two more like it so you will see it again soon!  In fact I have a whole pile of UFO clothing items for Miss Z, some I really hope get completed by the end of the year!!

I will have a quilt up in a day or two, I am sooo close.  I am so glad to be back!

A Little Finish

I have a small finish to share today.  It was actually completed a couple of weeks ago, but it turned out that I took the pictures with my husband's phone instead of mine!  I thought the pictures had disappeared!
Birthday Bib front

Bib back

A lady from my church asked me to make it for her grand-daughter's birthday after seeing some other bibs I had made for a church fundraiser.  I have several more bibs in the works as well as quilts, and clothing for my baby girl.  Oh so much to do; I better get to it!

Edited 04/16/2013:
The bib and several like it were cut out in originally in December to be made for my daughter's First Birthday (in February), but I used another bib I made for her from my baby hope chest instead.  I pulled this out to use when asked specifically for a birthday bib.  Not exactly old, but technically started last year.
