I got another one done.
There is a long story with this one, but I'll keep it short.
I bought this Batik Panel in Batam, an island in Indonesia, while on holiday..... 14 YEARS AGO!
Then it got put away until I could quilt it.... and I lost it for 10 years somewhere in the house.
Two years ago I found it again... deep down in a linen cupboard and decided to finally make it into a wall hanging.
Well.... I started doing it 2 years ago... then lost it again to the UFO box... more projects came along that I JUST HAD to do!
You know how it is.... *smile*
Anyway, now that I am in this group of UFO ladies, I was motivated to finally finish it.... and I HAVE!
It is quite large.... I've made a 'sleeve' on the back so I can slip a full-size panel of thin plywood in to make sure it holds it's shape, I've done that with quite a few of my wallhangings and it works really well.
Now I just have to find somewhere to hang it, cos for sure it can't stay pinned to the curtains! lol
ONWARD..... the next UFO awaits.

Absolutely gorgeous - and really so different to the majority of quilts we see. It certainly deserves a hanging spot!
Beautiful and very different and now you have a special piece to remember your visit to Indonesia ,congratulations on the finish.
Very beautiful!
So pleased to see we motivated you to finish....well worth it! I love the colours in this panel and after reading your blog, i love the sentimentality behind it!
Great idea with the 'sleeve' and I'm sure you'll find a worthy place to hang it!
