I started this little girl's dress for my first grand daughter 4 years ago, but didnt finish it for her. It was a project at our sewing club, using a Zwiho needle (a twin needle with one normal needle and one wing needle - does beautiful decorative work) I broke the needle before finishing the work on it and kept forgetting to buy another. Of course she then grew too big for it.
We did pintucks, lace trim as well as the twin needle work on each side of the lace (but doesnt show up well in the photo.
It is now for my younger Grand daughter who just turned 1 year old.
The other finish was this Christmas tree wall hanging.
This was another Sewing Club project from a couple of years ago. We made the little triangle shapes and it was to be sewn onto a circle to make a Christmas wreath. I decided to change mine to make another Christmas Tree but this time stitched onto a background fabric, rather than being just the tree as I had made before. While I was babysitting the 2 Grandies I was able to stitch on the stars and bead embellishments.
This photo is not so good but does show the embellishments a bit.
