Well ladies, I was looking forward to making a start on some of my UFO's this week.
But then this happened:
We had a pipe burst in our kitchen in the dead of the night, and the water ran down the stairs and internal walls into our garage, so everything had to come out.
We were storing all of our Son and Daughter In Laws household effects, furniture etc in the garage, AND all my sewing 'stuff'.
The garage was MY SEWING ROOM.
See all those boxes above: Those are all my UFO's!!!
So.. clearly I am not going to be doing any sewing in the near future.
Aside from the garage, our kitchen, family room, stairs and front door entrance area are covered in laminated wood... which has to be ripped up and replaced.
I don't think I will be doing anything apart from tearing my hair out for a while.
Think of me as you sew... and good luck ladies on getting more UFO's finished before me. *sigh*

I am so sorry. That is so awful. I hope everything is fixed quickly for you and your family.
Sorry to hear that, the bright side is at least the weather outside is warm and not raining so things should dry up quickly for you.
Oh no, what a terrible thing to happen, Hope it all dries quickly and the repairs can be done. Good luck with it all.
One thing is for sure - the UFOs will wait for you so when all is restored to normal you will be able to play catchup.
Take care.
Been there. We were on our vacation to Hawaii when we got a call from our son that our front door blue open during the coldest night of the year and when he closed the door and the pipe became unfrozen the kitchen tap burst and he only came back down to check the heat when it was to late and flooded the kitchen and the downstairs bedroom. Our insurance didn't cover it because we didn't have a written contract with our son to check our house. We didn't turn off the water as he comes down during the day to work here, What a mess. The only nice thing about it was I changed that bedroom into a really great sewing room and I got a new Kitchen, at our expense of course. Now we put a nail in the top of the front door and turn the water off.
Oh Chris that's terrible news! Hope the insurance company comes through for you quickly so you can get back on track soon!
