I've finished....my list!!

Hi, I'm Raewyn from lovetostitch. It's nice to be sharing here. After signing up to Sew It's Finished early in January, I've done nothing but lurk and admire the finishes that have been happening. Lately, I've had a bit of a tidy-up and now am organised with a LIST of the UFOs I want to focus on first.
Here they are, and in no particular order —

1. Breast of Friends; 2009 Homespum Magazine BOM.
5 blocks completed, quite a few to do.

2. Flirting with Flowers - BOM by The Pickledish Patch.
6 blocks completed, 3 to go (I think).

3. Crumbs quilt - this is a flimsy so just
needs quilting.

4. Klosjes quilt - I'm making this up as I go but think it
will have at least one more border of spools.

5. Reproduction Jellyroll quilt. Meant to be for my husband
for Christmas but Dad got ill so it didn't get finished.
Needs the final border and the quilting.

 Hopefully, I'll be able to post some progress before TOO long. Have fun working on all your own projects :-),

Another finish

This little wall hanging is actually the last two rows from the round robin I took part in in 2008. They looked so good together that I made them into a separate wall hanging and my husband wants it for his office .The first row was done by my friend Wilma and is called Resting by the River and the second row was done by Marilyn with the log cabin blocks and the fish hanging over the side of the canoe .I'm really happy with the results and it sure is nice to have it completed !

 Well Ladies..the carpet is down and I can get to
quilting in a couple of more days...still cleaning.
These are before and after pics of the floor. There
were 2 layers of old carpet to tear up and rubber
backing to scrape off of the floor...So much dust..
but this is one job finished..I know it's not sewing; but it gets me a little closer to my projects....

The finished bag for 2011

This is the first bag I finished this year. I love to make bags and purses, I have a large collection of patterns. There are still a lot of UFB (unfinished bags) and I promised to myself to make at least one bag a month.





This bag is for my cousin, I promised to make her a bag over a year ago. I hope she likes the colors.

I used some imitation leather, someday I want to make a bag of leather.

Hi my name is Michelle and I am a fabricaholic and I have lot's of UFO's!!! I am hoping this is the right place to get myself sorted and relieve myself of some of my UFOs. I am sew pleased Dawn and Wendy are here to be our mentors and guides as we travel down this path together. I hope to be an encouragement to you and I know you will all inspire me in return! Today I would like to share a wee finish that has been in my UFO pile for over a year...

This is actually the second time I have made this bag, the first one I gave away in a swap and I loved it sew much I just had to make my own. I have been very busy sewing this past week and have several other finishes but none from my UFO list:o( I am working on it though! Lurkers

Do you have lurker WIPs? They are the type that have us wondering how on earth they got where they are. They seem to appear when we are making a dent in our WIP pile just to make the numbers grow! I'm pretty sure I have more than one lurking just like that.

This mug rug was one of those lurkers. I made a small tablecloth at the end of last year and had just enough of the red leaf fabric left to make a mug rug. I find these really handy. This one is just the right size to fit under a big bowl of soup. (Curling up with a bowl of hot soup in the summer with the air conditioner on is heaven.) That was its secondary purpose....They are fun to make, whether simple or complicated.

I JUST HAD TO!

I finished a small quilt...(see earlier post).... and I was really  happy with it.

THEN I got to thinking it would look nice on the end of a bed ... but it needed something else to tie it in.... so I made two pillow cases this morning to match.

ABOVE:  I made two of them.... now I'm really happy and it will be a lovely gift for the people who are GIVING  up their home for us to use at the beach in a couple of days!

I will have to stop with my UFO's for a week as we are going on holiday... and I think I need it!  I seem to live in my garage sewing these days...(even if it is fun!)
